Every man and every beard is unique. While some find it super easy to grow a beard, others take longer. So don't be discouraged if it doesn't happen right away. Growth is influenced by many different factors; just see what works for you! Your beard growth, length, and thickness are determined by genetics, your testosterone levels, and your lifestyle. With a little patience and the right care, you'll soon see results!
What you should consider when growing a beard
Just let it grow and you're done! It would be nice if it were that quick and easy, wouldn't it?
Step 1: Let it grow
As we all know, every beginning is difficult – for some more, for others less!
Type A has very slow beard growth and cannot shave for several days without looking bearded.
Type B, on the other hand, has to shave at least every 1-2 days and has more or less regular beard growth and
Type C would have to shave twice a day to combat his thick beard growth.
Depending on your type, different beard styles are recommended for you. For type A, styles like a goatee , a Henriquatre or Van Dyke beard, or the classic mustache are usually suitable. For types B and C, on the other hand, styles like a 3-day beard or a full beard in various lengths are also suitable.

No matter what type of beard you are and no matter what beard style you're working towards, if you're starting from scratch, the rule is: let it grow first! Gaps may appear, as your hair will likely grow at different rates. Don't let that discourage you! During this transitional phase, pay special attention to proper care: wash your beard regularly with beard shampoo to remove dirt, dead skin cells, and bacteria. Moisturize your beard hair and the skin underneath with beard oil once a day to prevent itching, which can be quite uncomfortable.

Step 2: Halfway through
The first phase is finally complete! Now you can grab your beard trimmer and trim your hair to a uniform length using one of the attachments. Here you can decide for yourself how long you want to trim your beard. Not sure how? We've got you covered! We 'll explain the best way to trim your beard yourself – or you can treat yourself to an appointment with your trusted barber. Our recommendation in Hamburg: the Herrengut Barbershops.

Step 3: Keep it fresh
Now the fun begins! Simply wash your beard with water every day and use beard shampoo every two to three days. Depending on its length and thickness, you should comb your beard daily to keep it looking neat. Our wooden beard comb is particularly suitable for this. A beard brush can also help distribute sebum throughout your beard, thus providing it with oil. A quick tip: Regular brushing stimulates blood circulation, which also provides optimal growth conditions for your hair and helps remove dead skin cells from your beard.

Regularly moisturize your skin and beard hair. For example, with a moisturizer , 2-in-1 face & beard cream , or beard oil . This will prevent skin irritation and itching. Trim or shave your contours and length regularly to ensure all the hairs grow evenly and your beard looks great. Not sure which beard style is right for you? FAQs
Am I really not allowed to shave at all during the growth phase?
Yes and no. Keep your hands off the areas where you want to grow a beard later. Beards often grow in places you don't want them. These include the cheeks and throat area, for example. Just because you're in a phase where your beard is just supposed to grow doesn't mean you can't use a razor or straight razor every now and then. Check out " Shaving Your Beard Properly ."
Can I speed up my beard growth?
Again, yes and no. As you know, beard growth depends on many factors. Do you eat a beard-friendly diet, always go to sleep before 10 p.m., and exercise regularly? Then you could try a beard oil with castor oil , for example. Castor oil is said to stimulate and accelerate beard growth, so give it a try! It's not a guarantee, but it has helped some people. Want more tips? Then we have something else for you: Accelerate beard growth.
Can I also use a normal shampoo for my beard?
The sebum in your skin is important for keeping your beard hairs well-groomed. If you use a conventional shampoo instead of beard shampoo, you would completely remove the oil and severely dry out your skin.
Does my beard grow faster the more often I shave?
Unfortunately not. It's a misconception that shaving often makes your beard grow faster. Your hair grows an average of 0.3-0.5 mm per day, and frequent shaving won't make it any shorter or shorter.
