Hair care for men – care instructions, tips & products
Less is more. But too little is, well, too little. All-in-one products may save time, but they can damage your skin and hair in the long run. Which products you really need for your hair care depends primarily on your hair type. Proper and good hair care can make your hair fuller, shinier, and healthier. In addition to the right products, external factors also influence the condition of your hair. You'll learn all about this, as well as a few valuable tips, in this article.

5 hair care tips for men
#1: Don’t wash your hair too often
Not too often and not too hot! Washing your hair with shampoo every day dries out your scalp too much – hot water intensifies this effect. On average, washing your hair with a mild shampoo every two to three days is sufficient. Our tip: Gently dry your hair with a towel after washing – aggressive rubbing is not recommended.

#2: Use a high-quality and suitable hair shampoo
Many men's shampoos contain overly harsh chemicals that seem great at first, but quickly cause more problems. For example, they dry out the scalp too much, contain microplastics, or can even increase the risk of hair loss. Natural cosmetics are generally a good place to start, because much of what you use on your hair enters your body through your scalp pores.
#3: Minimize negative external influences
Salt water, chlorine, heating air, perms, bleaching, harsh care products, and your diet: all of these are examples of external factors that negatively impact the quality of your hair – and which can be more or less easily avoided. For example, if you spend a lot of time in the sun, by the sea, or by the pool and don't want to miss out on these activities, a hat and plant oils like coconut or argan oil are a good solution for protection.

#4: Less is more
There are now a vast array of hair care and styling products. However, not every product is necessary for you. So before you stock up on half a drugstore shelf, first determine whether your hair tends to be dry or oily. Then, the rule of thumb is: A few high-quality products are better than many that promise everything but deliver nothing.
Start with a high-quality shampoo , and depending on your hair type and length, your hair and scalp will also benefit from hair oil or conditioner. You'll find more information about individual hair types and suitable products for them in the following sections.
#5: Don’t postpone your hair appointment too long
Split ends can negatively impact the overall appearance of your hair. It may look straw-like and dry, even though your ends simply need a trim. A good hairdresser can also advise you on products and the optimal hair care routine for your hair type.
